Zero sets of the so-called Gaussian analytic functions (GAFs) give rise to a (simple) point process. After introducing some basic notions, we will go through a general recipe on how to construct GAFs. We then take a closer look at their zero sets; in particular, we derive a formula for the so-called first intensity. Furthermore, we will show that the distribution of the corresponding point process is determined by its first intensity (up to a non-vanishing, deterministic analytic function).
